Creative Conversations 2
The Scottish Prison Arts Network is very excited to announce the second event in our Creative Conversations series to be held on Tuesday 27 June in collaboration with Vox Liminis, Families Outside, the Garthamlock Community Group and HMP YOI Polmont. Creative Conversations is the Scottish Prison Arts Network’s new platform designed to innovate and support the ongoing development of an active and strategic networks for all individuals and organisations that work across a range of arts forms with people in custody and the community.
This Event will explore how the arts can support relationships, and the development of relationships, for individuals and families in the criminal justice sector. Performances will be given by KIN from Vox Liminis, the Garthamlock Community Group and young men in HMP YOI Polmont. A panel discussion will follow the performances made up from participants in these groups along with Professor Nancy Louks, Chief Executive of Families Outside, and Kirstin Anderson as moderator. A full agenda will be sent out to participants a week before the event..
Due to the event being held in HMP YOI Polmont, spaces are limited. If you sign up and then later find you cannot attend, please cancel via the Eventbrite page so that someone on the waiting list can attend. We ask that all participants be at the entrance of HMP YOI Polmont at 12 pm on the day. You will need photographic I.D. to enter the establishment.
Please feel free to email Kirstin@s-p-a-n.co.uk with any questions. We enjoyed seeing so many people at the first Creative Conversations event and learning about the wealth of good practice taking place in Scotland. We look forward to seeing you in June.
